Hi everyone, I'm new here and looking to try help out as a volunteer with enable requests. About 5 years experience with 3D printing and have some self learnt cad skills using fusion360. I have a friend missing his middle and ring finger on one hand and we are going to measure up and try the knick finger. The recipient has only one knuckle remaining on both, he has stumps and movement in them. A few questions:
a.) can we use this design for 2 fingers?
b.) it says the design is for 2 knuckles but can be modified for 1. Is the modification done with parametric model or will I need to directly edit the step file?
Edit: I think I have the answer to question b. I just made this public, can no one see it otherwise or just nobody able to answer?
c.) If we get this fitted and working the recipient has a machinest friend, has anyone tried having the enable devices machined in titanium or aluminium etc. If so what’s the pros and cons to this?
Thanks if anyone can give insight and guidance here. We have the measurement guide and I have some cheap low quality TPU to get started with trial fitting.
