Phase III Project Schedule
Fall 2020
Despite the pandemic, the team prepared the Phase III Deliverables, including:
- 90GB+ of raw footage for the NIOP assembly videos
- to be edited & released with Phase IV motion graphics, sound track, voice overs and NIOP logo reveal animation
- (5) New Q-C Adapters
- Pool Shark to play pool/billiards from a request by Janel Calvary
- Power Rope Adapter
- RoadRunner Bike Adapter
- Destiny Violin Bow Holder
- Yogi/Yogini (for push-ups, yoga and gymnastics)
- (3) New Assembly Manuals
- New Printing Instructions for all (4) NIOP Arm Configs & their individual modules
(15) Additional Items beyond the scope of the Phase III work were delivered during that time that include:
New NIOP Lower Limb Devices!
Plus an awesome new product line of hands and wrists:
- Presenting the ARX Hand Series (MK0M & MK0S) - easy to print and assemble, the MK1M uses a whippletree with a pulley that gives it a leveraged grip that can hold up to 8kg (~17lb)
- AW0 Articulated Wrist (ARX wrist with 3DOF)
- (2) New Shortened Kwawu Forearms to allow for articulated wrist systems and compliment the AW1 to fit Kwawu Socket, Shelbow, and Shelbow 2.0 modules
- New & Improved Standard Wrist Pin v2 (now compatible with ARX/AW1 wrists)
- New & Improved Q-C Wrist Pin v2 (compatible with old Q-C adapters, now compatible with ARX/AW1 wrists)
- You can now choose the universally compatible ARX wrist as an option in the OpenSCAD menus that is compatible with ARX, Gripper and Kwawu hands, all terminal devices, forearms and v2 wrist pins in the NIOP catalog.
- The ARX/AW1 wrist pin system allows for simplified assembly and features limitless 360° rotation in (12) positionable settings.
Also:
- Bonus New Hair Braiding adapter for the Q-C for a request by @Donna Zimmerman
- XO-Brace - XO-Shoulder remix for mounting the drive-line on the the Helix Cuff
- New Wall Signs, more Thermoformed Sign designs, and other Promotional Items
And last but not least:
- The new NIOP Product Catalog featuring our 70+ open source designs and items organized and linked so you can find exactly what product you need complete with icons to get the STL files, assembly manuals, printing instructions, videos, help menus and more.
- The Homepage for the NIOP Guide has been updated with links to the new Catalog.
