How to Have an e-NABLE Device Made For You By a Volunteer
Have a Volunteer Make a Device for You
If you aren’t ready to make your own e-NABLE device, we have lots of volunteers around the world who can help make one for you! To find a volunteer, you have several options:
- Use e-NABLE Web Central
- To get the process started, please create a login for the e-NABLE Web Central application and create a new device request.
- Then, upload your sizing photos. Watch this video to learn how to take proper sizing photos.
- Once you upload your sizing photos and mark the case as “Ready for Volunteer Review”, an e-NABLE volunteer will be able to help produce the device you need.
- Please note that we are in the process of developing a new matching platform that will eventually replace e-NABLE Web Central, and as a result, cases posted in e-NABLE Web Central may not get as much attention as they once did. After creating your case in e-NABLE Web Central, it’s a good idea to introduce yourself with a post in the e-NABLE Hub and share your EWC case number. This will encourage more volunteers to look at your case and provide assistance in a more timely manner.
- Reach out to e-NABLE chapters in your area to see if they can make a device for you. You can find a searchable map of e-NABLE chapters here.
- Post a message here in the e-NABLE Hub, in the main forum asking for help.
Please note: It is very important that you work with your physician, occupational therapist, physical therapist, or prosthetist when using a 3D printed open-source e-NABLE device.
