Hello, I am from a student-run society at the University of Glasgow called Handprints e-nable Scotland, specifically from the Animal Mobility team of the Outreach division. That being said we would love to help with your situation! We can design and print the prosthetic using our own resources. Thanks!

It sounds like you have quite a bit of interest from experienced people. I’m very new to this, but want to learn. Please, whoever helps Erika, can you post pictures/video of the process so I (we) can improve our knowledge base?

Well interesting case. So let me get this straight, does the goose still have a any leg below the „knee joint“? That would be very good. Because with a „half lower leg“ it would be very easy to attach a prosthetic leg. The goose could controll the whole movement by that stump. If there’s nothing no part below the knee joint. It is very tricky. Basically you face 1 big and 2 smaller issues. Biggest issue how to control the movement? How to lock and release a certain angle of the knee. 1. small issue, as you may notice a goose leg is practically a cone, means how to align the prosthesis Perfect to the ground level? It could always happen that force or an uneven ground turns the prosthesis sideways 2. Small issue, how to secure the prosthesis on the upper leg cone shape? that was one of the birds but she still got the lower part, a stump blow the knee. So she controls the prosthesis. So I designed a prosthesis with a joint that was attached to the upper and lower part of the leg.
