Designer: Nate Munro, Alexandra Lamp, Lorenzo Lopez

Description:

A prosthetic elbow with both flexion and humeral positionable rotation, and a grip latch.

Inspired from the Ugunugu elbow by Miguel Rivera, and named after Shelby, the woman it was designed for, this prosthetic elbow is part of the NIOP modular arm catalog, and is used to fit transhumeral (above-elbow) amputees and people with limb difference who don't have an elbow. The (4) screw holes around the base of the perimeter align with the screw pattern on the NIOP Helix Cuff https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3639770

Most parts are printed, so it requires only minimal hardware (bolt @ elbow, & 12 screws)

It features both Flexion and Humeral positioning, that can be placed in numerous settings, and a Grip Lock to hold the hand's grip position.

It attaches to the NIOP Kwawu Forearm and Hand remix, and other NIOP compatible hand designs are currently in production.

The drive-line is secured by a Brace Plate attached to the wearer's back.

The completed arm (Kwawu/Shelbow/Helix Cuff at 100% size) weighs 1lb 9oz, including hardware.

These stl's are made for a Left arm device. Most parts should be mirrored for Right arm devices.

We think the Shelbow is a great trans-humeral prosthetic option and hope we start to see more and more people assembling them! If you have any feedback about our designs or instructions regarding our designs please feel free to submit this feedback form.
